I'm 45-months old today

Hello everyone! Once again, it has been a very fun and excitement-packed month.

image The day after I last wrote we headed north on vacation. We flew to Minneapolis and drove to Detroit Lakes to stay for a week with our friends Howard and Carla Hansen. During our terrific vacation I had so much fun and had a lot of great new experiences. First, I got to ride a jet ski, which I really loved. Many thanks to Howard and Rob for taking me. I also rode on a sailboat and a power boat. Another really cool part of our trip was seeing the tracks where my beloved Empire Builder runs, which is right through Detroit Lakes! Another fun part of the trip was playing the guitar at the Hansen’s. I made up tons of songs, some of my favorites include “Boats and Jet Skis” and “On the Lake Again.” After we left the lake, we headed back to Minneapolis and went to a Twins game. This was my first professional game of this season, and my ninth MLB ballpark. The next day we went to the Mall of America and I got to go to a HUGE Lego store! I loved it! Also at that mall they have an entire amusement park inside and I rode a roller coaster with Daddy.

Another great highlight of the month involved another baseball game. Last week I went with Daddy to St. Louis to see a Cardinals game. Another really special part of the trip was that Grandpap met us too! He finished up his job in Indianapolis and was driving back and we were able to meet up. We had lunch together and enjoyed the game together. We even got to stay in my favorite hotel chain, Hilton Hotels. And our hotel overlooked the ballpark. We left after the 7th inning and could watch the end of the game from our hotel room. It was really special and fun to be with Daddy and Grandpap.

image Also this month I started pre-school. This is my third year at Creative Playdays. My teacher is Miss Kim and she is really nice. Unfortunately neither of my two good friends are in my class this year, but I know I will make new friends. I also went to the splash park quite a few times and one time Abbie and Emily came too! It was a lot of fun. Another neat thing I did was go to a special story time with my friends Chase and Charlie at the Ballpark in Arlington. I also went to a story time with Abbie and Emily at a train museum! Lots of trains and ballparks this month!

image As I mentioned last month, Cara had her surgery on August 17. It went pretty well. Mommy is so glad that it is over with. As you can imagine Cara bounced back great! Her eye is looking better, but it still may need another surgery. She is growing up so fast, so says Mommy. She is waving and clapping and is learning where her nose and ears are. She crawls everywhere and is trying to pull up by herself. And, you can’t believe how much the girl eats. Let me just tell you! Cara is still in Gymboree and moved up to Level 3 this week. Mommy is trying to start a play group so Cara can have her own friends.

image I hope you have a great month and I look forward to seeing you next month!

Love, Sean
